Alpico Plaza Hotel

Very convenient location just 5 min from Matsumoto Station; also near several eateries and a 7-11. If interested, ask the reception about the complimentary shuttle bus to use the onsen for free at another hotel under the same company, available on a first come first serve basis (2 timings in the evening; only about 1 hour between drop off at the hotel and pick up for the return trip, though, so might be more rushed than you like. Still, it's free, so no complaints).

Our second stay here. Very pleased with everything. Staff are super helpful. Room is clean and comfortable. Really close to the station. Good price. They will keep your bags before you check in. Although we’d prefer an onsen in the hotel, there’s a bus to take you to a lovely onsen hotel about 20mins away. It’s quite a long trip but a beautiful place with an outdoor onsen. A couple of other nice touches such as a welcome drink when you arrive and some nice sachets of moisturiser etc. we were unable to stay some nights as it was booked out otherwise it’d be our preferred accommodation in Matsumoto.

The location was good, very close to bus terminal just few minutes walk. We can store our luggage at the hotel before check-in time.

The location is very central to downtown Matsumoto and close to the station. The room was a decent size and quiet. The beds were comfy and clean.

- Location is just perfect. It's few minutes walk from JR station and very easy to find. Moreover, it's just another street next to bus terminal (which we use to travel to Kamikochi). - Staffs are very nice and helpful. Room is not much space (however it's japanese standard room), but it's enough for two persons, and we can manage luggage and stuffs in the room. Bed is clean and warm. Bathroom and toilet are in one room, however, we have no problem using it at all. There are amenities provided in the lobby where you can get what you use. - Restaurants, cafes and shops are all in the area. Izakaya is just next door. You can even walk to Matsumoto Castle, as the town is easy-and-safe to walk.
